Overview
My brother is an NHS doctor currently working on the frontline in the Intensive care Covid-19 units. He has often worked extremely long shifts in a row, including numerous night shifts. I know that many of us and our families have been affected by this virus, so I’m sure everyone has already been donating to various charities to help fight Covid-19, but I wanted to do something a bit more personal to help in what little way I can.
I have decided to start making up some care packages to send to my brothers hospital (the Whittington), and if enough is raised I will also send them to other hospitals. They will consist of; Hand creams, special treatment creams to help with sores from their masks, teas, biscuits, chocolates, food vouchers & any other suggestions anyone else has. I will also be including any messages of support & thanks anyone wishes to add. On top of the care packages, I have also contacted small local businesses who have agreed to deliver dinners to the hospital, so any money raised will also be put towards this.
I would greatly appreciate any donation you are willing to make, no matter how big or small. This is just a small gesture to show the NHS staff how much we appreciate the extremely hard work they are putting in and sacrifices they are making to try and save peoples lives in these difficult times
