WHY DID WE START THIS CAMPAIGN?

Panjabi farmers and their families are struggling to make a living and provide simple necessities such as food, shelter, and an education for their children. In addition, Panjabi farmer's are facing many hardships such as debt, drug and alcohol abuse, cancer, water security, and pesticide abuse. Farmers face an uphill battle with the state and federal government, as unregulated lending and harsh restrictions force them to borrow money and grow crops in a specific way. From 2000-2015, there were over 16,000 farmer suicides in Panjab, of which 94% of suicides were due to debt!

Facilitated through Guru Nanak Sewa Fund International, We are raising funds to assist those impoverished families that have reached out to us in Panjab, in hopes that more families will come forth to receive this assistance. After the farmers and their families receive this assistance, We will be posting interviews with each individual family so you can see exactly where your donation is going and how much of a difference it really makes for them.
